Take Action

Cell Phone Recycling Project

The Women’s Center has raised $13,395 through old cell phone recycling! On behalf of our entire organization, we greatly appreciate the efforts of those who have collected and donated cell phones. All proceeds from old cell phone recycling goes toward programs that give victims a chance to find a brighter and safer future away from violence and abuse.

If you have old cell phones that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Women’s Center Annex or contact our office for more information.

Host a Fundraiser

With the support of the community, we can continue to provide services for men, women and children of domestic and sexual violence. These are some ideas:

    • Have a car wash
    • Have a spaghetti dinner
    • Have a garage sale
    • Collect old cell phones
    • Have a school cookbook sale
    • Have a pancake breakfast
    • Organize a night at the races
    • Take up a collection at work or church
    • Sponsor an “Empty Bowls” dinner (www.emptybowls.net/)
    • Collect new coats for women and children

Please check out our Wishlist List for items we need and contact our office with your ideas or more information.
